The 1st trip for 107b in 2008 will be to Naas for the IWAI Kildare branch Easter Rally, which will be on 21st – 24th March, 2008 (dates to be confirmed). The reason we are heading to Naas is that 220 years ago the Duke of Leinster visited Naas by canal barge, and we hope to do this again with the help of Naas Historical Society.
The barge is currently in Tullamore and will be leaving mid February to make our way to Naas, we will also be rebuilding the boatman’s cabin on the barge starting January 2008.
